naltorian[ Nura's seated at the bar at the Fluffy Duckling, hair bound up in a colorful swath of silk, body layered by thick harem pants and top, with a wool sweater over the top. It looks comical, as the jewels and the gold glittering on Nura's ears, neck, ankles, wrists and fingers clash with the rough, modern contrast of the wool, but it's warm, and that's all Nura cares about.
One many notice on her right hand, upon her middle finger, is a piece of jewelry that looks very much out of place with the rest of Nura's rings. This ring is not at all gaudy. It is demure, with a thin silver band and a small jewel at the center, unlike any diamond.
It is easy to tell that it did not originate from the gifts of her denizen's circumstance.
Nura picks up her mug of beer and looks inside, scrunching her nose in distaste, eyes low-lidded as she attempts to peer into the liquid, but with nothing foreign found, she sets the beer back down and nudges it away to her left. ]
Uh, excuse me? But could I have another drink?
[ She waves over the bar counter at someone offscreen, and then finally turns to her compact's camera. ]
It's been a while since I checked in on things. I know that we have more newbies -- so, hey, welcome to the Island and join us in a collective groan, okay? -- but with my mind elsewhere, I haven't been keeping up with my tallying of who is here and who has gone home. Please tell me that no one died recently.
