Break the mirrors? Why would I want to break a flaming mirror? Are the Aes Sedai rummaging through my head now? Blood and bloody ashes, what possessed me to take the medallion off...

[This grumbling, swearing character looks nothing like the Howl that he's replaced. The compact screen allows whoever is watching to see a gangly man in a worn coat affixing a silvery medallion around his neck and hefting a long, black spear in his hands. The same spear some of his former room mates might recognise (if they're still themselves). Once everything is in order, he sweeps up his wide-brimmed hat and settles it on his head before striding out of the room to roam the island. Maybe look for some familiar faces.]

[If anyone is loitering around town, they'll see him poking around looking for something to eat, and maybe someone to dice with. (A note: HE IS MISSING HIS LEFT EYE.)]
