[This text comes very suddenly and without warning or preface.]

Dinner at my house on the 24th. Christmas presents are going to be exchanged whether you like it or know about it or not. Also someone, i'm not naming any names or anything, but SOMEONE should totally try and bag us a turkey.

[Arya still doesn't know the pack too-too well, but she can't help but jump at the idea of gifts. It's a kid thing - and it is her first Christmas, after all.]

presents! :) christmas is kind of the coolest holiday of the year. i usually celebrate it with scott and my dad and his mom but since they're not here we're kind of trying to make do with just the two of us, and all of you guys. basically we'll all get a gift for you, and you get one for us, especially since you can wish for everything around here. free presents! for not doing anything!

Awesome. Totally not who I was referring to but youre already ten times more helpful than said person anyway. just be careful.

Is it a one-parent holiday? I'd like to spend it with my father if I was home, then.

[Arya's going to assume that you pick your favorite parent to celebrate it with, and...well, when she spends time with her mother, it's fine, but she tends to get into trouble a lot easier.]

I'll have to think of the best gifts for all of you, then. They'll all be really good, I promise.

no, it's...a family holiday. my mom passed away two years ago, and scott's dad was never anything close to family.

the grumpy, ungrateful one you share a house with. :P i'm sure he'll enjoy the company. maybe.

[Oh, wow. Arya was not expecting that. She doesn't know what Stiles feels like, since neither of her parents have died in her timeline yet, but she sure can sympathize - she hasn't seen her mother or father in ages.]
