Why do the Japanese go for KFC during Christmas? I can understand the burning things part, especially since alcohol and chocolate is involved.

Fuck if I know. I've been doing this for over a decade and it still makes about zero sense to me.

Maybe I'll fry one of the turkeys in lieu of KFC.

That sounds potentially dangerous, given how much oil you'd have to heat up and the size of the bird would displace quite a bit of the liquid, sending it gushing over the side of the pot and onto an open flame.

They actually make turkey friers specifically built to not catch things on fire. It's just recommended that you get a smaller turkey so that you don't overflow or bite off more than you can chew.

Well I'm not going to say experimentation is a bad thing, but I'll give you a wide berth if you attempt this.

Honestly I recommend this entirely. You can just watch from a distance while I hopefully don't burn anything.
