[ At some point yesterday, not long after Judgement's whisper, those living near unit #6 in the Navy District may have heard screaming and yelling that carry on and off for well over an hour. And from the noise, whatever is happening inside is excruciatingly painful. The physical change that the Rulers had punished them with comes in the form of a loss for Howl - he gets the pleasure of having his left eye being gouged out and is left to clean up the blood and mess left behind. Not knowing how to take care of this sort of wound, he ends up wadding cloth over the hole in an attempt to stem the bleeding.

By today, the wound seems to have clotted, but he doesn't dare get out of his bed or show his mutilated face on the network. So unusually for him, he uses the audio function. ]

Is there someone here who knows how to treat...deep scarring? [ His voice seems to be strained. ]

[ Cold. That's the first thought in his mind when he wakes up now. Despite the extra blankets piled on top of him and wrapping around his body like a cocoon, he lies curled up on his bed without moving, feeling very, very strange. There's something wrong about feeling as cold as he does and not wanting to move an inch. No, it's not so much his lack of movement as it is...ah, he doesn't feel the urge to shiver.

It takes all his energy to extricate his arm and reach over for his communicator, flip it open, set a cursory filter and then speak into it. He's too tired to even try and cover up the fact that he's tired. ]
