Every time they keep doing something to us, but even when that ends we're always left behind with more and more traits from the people we're supposed to become, right? At this rate we're heading right into a complete transformation if they keep giving us traits. And I'm not particularly planning on sitting here obediently and just letting them do that. [ a near huff. ] Even if the last time some people tried to do something they got punished, there has to be a way to do something, right?

[ There's a pause, but then there's some ruffling, and soon enough there's a munching sound. ]

[Karkat has not been sleeping (again - or well, save for the nice little magical catnap he hadn't wanted).

He's looking a lot more irritable than usual; bags deep set under his eyes and a frown strained with frustration. He's been on his own for a while - and though he won't admit it, being on his own is unsettling. If he looks a little taller, it's because he's taken a surprising growth spurt (just a few inches).
