[A short transmission today; Howl's walks around the marketplace have got him thinking about opening up a store of his own, like the ones he once ran back home. So here he appears now, fingers interlaced before him, chin resting on top of them contemplatively.]

I'm thinking of starting a business to sell my spells. But I'd need an assistant.

[So, would anyone like to help him out?]

Yes, someone to watch the counter and greet customers while I work. Interested?

Hmm... I've never played a shopkeeper before.

I suppose I could try it for a time. It sounds interesting.

It should be a simple job. I'll let you know when I've managed to secure one of the empty shops. It shouldn't take too long.

But will it be boring?

No, of course not!

[Not that Howl has any idea if it will be boring or not, since he used to leave this part of the job to his apprentice and disappear for most of the day.

And he's also assuming that there will be customers. Which there might not be.]

[Domon has been rather quiet since Halloween, but this manages to get his attention. Maybe a spell was just what his friends would need if the Rulers turned him into the werewolf again.]

You can sell spells? How does that work?

If you mean how do the spells work, I'm afraid the details somewhat hard to explain. Although they're easy to understand in principle.

No, I don't think I want to know how they work. [Really, he wasn't entirely sure how computers worked despite his brother explaining it to him several times. He didn't really want to mess with trying to learn something as completely foreign as magic.] But how can you sell them? It's not like you can just make a spell and store it in a bottle. ...Right?

Usually I write it down on a piece of paper. It's too difficult to put a spell in a bottle or jar - it might explode. The words on the paper carry the spell, which is released when you recite it.

I see. That doesn't seem too hard. What kind of spells are you selling?

I custom-make them. Did you want to buy one?

I've had some experience in magic...I don't know how much I'd be able to help though.

No experience is needed. Though some common sense when handling the spells would be preferable.

No. But I know Magic quite well.

Can you recognise spell ingredients then? I could use some help gathering them.

Pretty sure I can. I know spiritual artifacts right off the bat when I first glance at them.

You won't be. Some of the ingredients are in the forest though. It might be dangerous.
