[A short transmission today; Howl's walks around the marketplace have got him thinking about opening up a store of his own, like the ones he once ran back home. So here he appears now, fingers interlaced before him, chin resting on top of them contemplatively.]

I'm thinking of starting a business to sell my spells. But I'd need an assistant.

[So, would anyone like to help him out?]

Sure? I mean, he seemed pretty knowledgeable about magic. I went to him a lot about stuff.

['Pretty knowledgeable'?? Merlin was-- well, you wouldn't say he was quite the father of magic, but to his knowledge there isn't a wizard or witch who doesn't admire the man.]

I've always wanted to meet him. He's alive in your world?

[keyblading]

Sure! I guess your version of world is different from mine. But yeah, he's alive. He lives in Radiant Garden.

[ With a smile, he nodded ]

He taught me the basics of magic.

[waterformybath]

Could you-- I mean, would you be able to...pass on any of his wisdom?

[This is the closest that Howl will look to an eager puppy.]

[ Sora thinks for a moment ]

Well, actually, it was mostly about how you should always concentrate the magic at a point, then release.

[waterformybath]

[Howl is nodding thoughtfully. He already knew that, but it sounds more meaningful coming from Merlin.]

Is that all?

[keyblading]

Also, making sure you're heart is strong. If it's weak, it won't really work.

Or maybe that was Donald...

[ Sora's gotten his wizards confused. ]

[waterformybath]

[Nod nodding all the way (and even writing Sora's words down, what). Wait...]

Donald?

Yeah! He's my friend, but he's got a temper. Donald Duck? He's the wizard on King Mickey's court.

[waterformybath]

Incredible. Are there many wizards or witches in your world? It almost sounds like my own.

[keyblading]

Well, not a whole bunch, but I think almost all Keyblade users can use magic. I wouldn't call us witches and wizards, though.

[waterformybath]

So you call yourselves...'Keyblades'? That's a strange name.

[Keys don't have blades (as far as he knows). D:]

[ Sora lets out a laugh ]

No way!! It's the blade I use! Some other people use them too, you have to have a certain strength of heart to be able to use them I think.

[waterformybath]

Then they're magical weapons? Enchanted keys?

[ He is utterly fascinated right now. Do tell him more about how keyblades work, Sora! ]

[keyblading]

Yeah. I mean I don't really know the smaller details of it, but the Keyblade kind of chooses it's master. Originally, I wasn't supposed to wield it, but it chose me anyway.

They have all kind of abilities: like being able to open locks, hearts, magic...

[ Sora sheepishly rubbed his neck. He still wasn't even sure if he was worthy of it...]

They can open hearts? You mean that figuratively, yes?

[ No, of course Sora means they open up a live, beating heart, Howl. 8\ ]

[keyblading]

Yeah! Haven't you ever heard of that before?

[ And of course, Sora doesn't see the problem here. ]

[waterformybath]

No. There have been some wizards who have studied the nature of the mind, the heart, and the soul, but none of them have come close to 'unlocking' them.

[ It couldn't be that the magicians of Sora's world have succeeded...?! ]

[keyblading]

Well, Riku can do it. He unlocked my heart so he could save me from darkness. I'm not quite there yet.

[ Sora looks very hopeful at that point, smiling ]

I wish I could have seen that for myself.

[ So he says wistfully. It would have been fascinating study. ]

Would you be able to show me how it's done if you ever regain that power?

[keyblading]

Oh, that's not something I can regain. I'm not a master just yet, so I can't really open anyone's heart. If Riku ever shows up, I'll get him to show you!

[waterformybath]

I would be grateful for that, thank you.

[ Woah, they really got off track, didn't they? He tries to remember what they were talking about before... ]

Oh yes, about the store: it would be a pleasure to have you around-- I'm sorry, what was your name?

[keyblading]

Great! I'm sure I can help you out a lot.

[ a big smile ]

I'll definitely get Riku to show you if he comes here.

[waterformybath]

[ He smiles gratefully. ] My thanks again.

[ And he still didn't catch your name-- oh well, he'll recognise Sora when he arrives at the shop. ]
