I suppose I see the humour of putting one, Rose Lalonde, into the district that so happens to go by the color Rose. Oh yes, how cute and hilarious it would be. Let us put Rose in Rose District. While I usually would find it amusing, my patience is nothing but fairly thin at the moment.
Could you not have waited a mere few minutes before plucking me from my spot. I had very solemn good lucks to give and this is fairly aggravating to never know of what becomes of myself and the departure of my close one.
I run a tight schedule and you have destroyed it. I was busy, considering the morbid thoughts of living a life of solitude.
No, that's wrong. You took me before I could find out whether I would cease to continue existing.
Now I will never know.
I utterly despise the curiosity of never finding out until I leave this place.
Now that I have vented, what probably looked positively insane rambling, I suppose I should introduce myself.
I am Rose Lalonde. I suppose they want me to tell you that I am Odin though. Dear me! Not only am I no longer a young, fair maiden, I even have children! The amount of shock is just coursing through my system. These clothes are also not something I would consider wearing normally. Couldn't you had perhaps added a horrorterror or two into the pattern? No? I suppose it was worth a shot.
While I'm at it, please inform me of everything you can offer about this place, how it works, and who you are. I know someone here has came before I have and I would be fairly appreciative that I can start unraveling the mysteries of this new abode as soon as possible. I have plenty of time because I have absolutely none. Now if you'll excuse.

Is dying here permanent? Or is it just a fun little game to them to remind us that our existence rests in their hands? Not that it would change anything, but I am curious as to how high the stakes can be.
I'm sure no one wants to die or will just let themselves be killed. I just wonder how progress will be made in this place. Everything sounds so stagnant.

I can't be completely sure about it, that's the problem. Someone I knew died, but he came back to life.

There's no guarantee if the same thing will happen in the future though.

We are a double edged sword. While we are at their mercy, they must be slightly lenient. They have nothing if they do not have us to replace the previous denizens.
I suppose they could always grab more, but it would be easier to just tame beings who've already settled here than to continuously pull new victims in.
At least, that's my only guess as to why they keep us around despite disobedience.

It's good to see someone else thinking about it rationally, at least. I arrived at more or less the same conclusion.

The only thing I don't understand yet is why they randomly send people back home again too. Isn't that just a waste of effort?

I like to consider myself a rational thinker for the most part. I have done quite irrational things in the past, but that would be admitting a normalcy in most.
I wonder if, perhaps, things are not as stable as they like us to think. The reason people are whisked back away is because they couldn't prevent it. We are technically a glitch so to speak. While we are to replace our denizens, we are still not them by technicality. Perhaps the world itself is forcing us back out.
Of course, this is merely a theory. They could also just be removing us because they grow tired of our existence.

I have to say it's an interesting theory. I wouldn't easily discard it, in fact, especially not since I hadn't thought about it from that angle yet. Then again, we'll never know which theory is the real one since those Rules would never talk about it, right?

I suppose so.
It is a highly optimistic theory. The other one I had thought of was much more morbid and a bit of a mood killer.
