I suppose I see the humour of putting one, Rose Lalonde, into the district that so happens to go by the color Rose. Oh yes, how cute and hilarious it would be. Let us put Rose in Rose District. While I usually would find it amusing, my patience is nothing but fairly thin at the moment.
Could you not have waited a mere few minutes before plucking me from my spot. I had very solemn good lucks to give and this is fairly aggravating to never know of what becomes of myself and the departure of my close one.
I run a tight schedule and you have destroyed it. I was busy, considering the morbid thoughts of living a life of solitude.
No, that's wrong. You took me before I could find out whether I would cease to continue existing.
Now I will never know.
I utterly despise the curiosity of never finding out until I leave this place.
Now that I have vented, what probably looked positively insane rambling, I suppose I should introduce myself.
I am Rose Lalonde. I suppose they want me to tell you that I am Odin though. Dear me! Not only am I no longer a young, fair maiden, I even have children! The amount of shock is just coursing through my system. These clothes are also not something I would consider wearing normally. Couldn't you had perhaps added a horrorterror or two into the pattern? No? I suppose it was worth a shot.
While I'm at it, please inform me of everything you can offer about this place, how it works, and who you are. I know someone here has came before I have and I would be fairly appreciative that I can start unraveling the mysteries of this new abode as soon as possible. I have plenty of time because I have absolutely none. Now if you'll excuse.

If it's humour that the Rulers have then it's really kind of questionable...

Most information is in the letter actually. The original fairy tale denizens have died and we were taken to replace them. The Rulers of this place are really cruel and seem to have amazing god-like power. They are represented by Tarot Arcana it seems. One of them is on our side though, her name is The World.
We've only recently tried and failed to escape...

So the only real information we currently possess is in that letter? I'm slightly disappointed.
I was hoping that I could have had something more to work with. Ah well, I will just handle this like a big girl now.
God-like. Well, that is hardly a surprise given their ability to take us all willy nilly without so much as a warning.
Could you tell me about this escape and what happened after? Color me curious.

We've been trying, but the Rulers are really good at hiding their secrets. I've got a big set of notes about this place, but they're not very enlightening for the big picture.

Anyway... Well, some of us had the idea to build a boat and escape over the ocean. The building went very well, but when we were actually trying to leave the Rulers entered the boat and had a battle with us. It was cruel and in the end we were all captured and brought to the castle. The only Ruler on our side, a woman called 'The World' healed us and actually responded to some of our questions, but the other Rulers regained control soon after.
They punished us for trying to escape and locked each person into an individual nightmare which showed them a version of their world in which things went terribly wrong. We ended up being able to break free from those and free the others, but it wasn't very pleasant.

How morbid. So actually trying to escape is fairly futile on our part.
Yet none of us will just quietly accept the fate we are given, so escape is one of the few things we must do.
So really, we must figure out what secrets they hide from us. We could find out how they pulled us here, I'm sure.
I must say, their choice of punishment is fairly lackluster. At least for me, so I suppose there's that. Oh well. I had expected something better, but a world based on fairytales probably leads to more mundane punishments too.

It was bad enough, so I won't complain, honestly... But I agree, gathering knowledge about both their plans and secret methods seems to be the first step from here on.
At least The World is on our side, so we seem to be able to talk without being overheard now.

There were some circumstances from my previous setting which makes that kind of punishment fairly laughable. I suppose they'll have to get creative with me.
Is there any reason why The World sides with us?
I assume gathering knowledge is exceptionally difficult.

For your sake I hope they don't get too creative.

If there is a reason then I can't tell for sure. She seemed really font of the previous denizens though, so maybe she wants to protect us from such a fate?

I suppose so. She sounds like a motherly figure of some sort, so it makes sense. I guess she can't just return us though. That would be too easy.

I wouldn't actually mind easy solutions for once, but you're right. One of the rulers against all others doesn't seem to have enough power to actually make that much of a difference.
Still, it's the strongest ally we have.

It is quite a difference. She is still much higher than we are.
If one ruler can sway to us, that means it is more than possible that the others can be swayed.
Unfortunately, to woo the entirety, would require a lot of time. Time we cannot spare so easily.
But perhaps we do not need them all to get what we want. Merely, we just need more. Enough power so to speak.

It both seems hard to achieve; bringing the rulers to our side as well as gaining enough power to get out on our own.
But I have to say I actually consider the latter a bit more likely. Having dealt with some of the other rulers I don't think they'll change their opinion anytime soon.
I'd like to give second chances, I really would, but it just seems unrealistic as it is now.

They sound more like children who can't deal with not having their way. Honestly, it's almost embarrassing how childish they are.
I expected rulers, not spoiled brats.

I'm not sure if it's better or worse than having them be 'actual rulers' as you say it. Childish people can be unpredictable and that's probably a negative point..

Rulers are usually a little more diplomatic than this. At least, you would hope so. Unless they are more totalitarian than benevolent.
Still, this is tiresome to deal with and I've barely arrived.
