007 ⚜ Video ⚜ An apology

[Francis comes on the communicators, a healthy glow on his cheeks that had been missing for the past few weeks - And despite all the scrapes and bags under his eyes from their ordeal, he looks more like he's supposed to. The only thing that looks completely unnatural is the frown Francis has on his face.]

Mesdames et messieurs... I feel I must apologize. I had no idea my plan would fail, and that all of us would be placed through... such horrid things.

[He pauses, looking guilty as he sort of shifts around.]

I apologize. For everything. For the boat, for our capture, for all the suffering you endured... désolé.

[Francis slowly reaches over to his nightstand, and takes what looks like a photograph into his hands. He stares down at it for a moment, before he sighs and looks back up.]

Anyone who has had their clothes torn or ruined because of this - I will fix them. If I cannot fix them, I will replace them myself. That is all.

[And he cuts off the feed.]

I'll have to thank them for this miserable rain. [Oh that's very unhappy sarcasm; he's pretty visibly outside, too.] I've got a few ideas, but there very much work in progress. [And not things he's comfortable discussing over the compacts...]

It did say something about their methods; that was a very sharp show of force - they want to cow us, and I don't doubt they're probably still listening to these - it'll make it complicated to come up with an alternate form of communication that they won't tamper with. [Some kind of handwritten post with a few dedicated messengers could work, but...topic for not-the-network.]

I may drop by sometime today, if it's no trouble - I imagine you'd need measurements, and that it'll take time to work.

Do you need anything? [He's asking as a more general question, since this man is obviously camping out, and... well, blame it on his mothering/fathering instincts.]

Ha, and I have many more, monsieur. Notebooks filled with ideas. Ideas on the Rulers and their motivations, this place, and many more things. [France agrees off-network is the best, considering he doesn't want to gain the attention of the Rulers again.]

Their methods are numerous, monsieur. Before they had been trying to slow us down by sending a few peons. It means they still would rather not be seen, unless it is necessary.
