007 ⚜ Video ⚜ An apology

[Francis comes on the communicators, a healthy glow on his cheeks that had been missing for the past few weeks - And despite all the scrapes and bags under his eyes from their ordeal, he looks more like he's supposed to. The only thing that looks completely unnatural is the frown Francis has on his face.]

Mesdames et messieurs... I feel I must apologize. I had no idea my plan would fail, and that all of us would be placed through... such horrid things.

[He pauses, looking guilty as he sort of shifts around.]

I apologize. For everything. For the boat, for our capture, for all the suffering you endured... désolé.

[Francis slowly reaches over to his nightstand, and takes what looks like a photograph into his hands. He stares down at it for a moment, before he sighs and looks back up.]

Anyone who has had their clothes torn or ruined because of this - I will fix them. If I cannot fix them, I will replace them myself. That is all.

[And he cuts off the feed.]

Oui, I can see how... this would help. My dream was from my past, aussi. [He frowns a little bit thinking about his dream again. It had been on his mind a lot lately.]

You are right. I should not be so focused on this when I have other things to do, such as making replacement clothes.

I can understand that it's hard to forget... and I'm sure everyone deals with it differently, but yes, personally I think it's easiest to just concentrate on the matters at hand and push it aside.

It hasn't been real.

Non, ma petite, for me it was very real. It is almost as if I had jumped into the past... mais, even then, I survived through this, or I would not be here today. I am grateful it was all just a dream, even if it had its basis in reality.

The important bit is that it's past though, right? While it has effects on the presence it's nothing you'll really have to go through again.
We're all here and whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it can be worked out somehow.

[He nods, giving a bit of a laugh.] Ah, oui, that is a relief. I would really much prefer not to go through that event twice in one lifetime.

I am simply glad no one was hurt.
