[ The first thing Sasuke managed to do when he found his feet again was to drag himself to the nearest place that looked even remotely familiar. That happened to be the forest, which looked so comforting to him with its dark tree-trunks and swaying leaves. It had taken much of his energy just to make it that far, fair kimono dotted with blood and his right arm cradled against his chest.

It took the rest of his energy to escape from the very place he had fought so hard to get. Never had he met animals such as those in his life, ones that turned on him with blank eyes and attacked him with no provocation.

The small man collapsed on the edge of the wood, sinking into an exhausted pile of silk and limbs. ]

[Rokuro knows better than to go exploring and searching random woods. He values his life more than that, and he doubts that Yukimura would be there regardless--and so he is skirting the woods and thus stumbles across Sasuke.

They are neither in very good shape, but Sasuke looks much worse, blood staining his kimono as it is, and Rokuro pauses before striding forward to crouch beside him.]

Sasuke.

[monkeyjump]

Rokuro-san!

[ The voice causes Sasuke to jerk upwards, mind a muddled mess of pain and worry. He begins talking rapidly, thoughts leaving his mouth as son as they come to mind. ]

We are under attack! The Five intend to kill the Braves -- Kakei-san and I were fighting one, but where the others are I know not --

[ ...he glances around himself, gaze confused and weary. ]

Where we are I know not... or why I have these clothes... or what forest this is...

[ His voice becomes softer and more childish. ]

...turned against me, the animals did...

[ Of everything that has happened, that disturbs him the most. ]

[firstwife]

[Rokuro is quiet, taking in the stream of information Sasuke is rapidly talking about.

...ah...He doesn't remember this, but there is quite a lot he likely missed, bed-ridden as he had been.

...the animals turned against him...?]

This is a strange place, unnatural in many ways.

[A quiet breath and he shifts slowly.]

Do not panic. How badly are you injured?

[He will require Sasuke's help to return, he knows he will.]

I...

[ That is a good question. He uses his good arm to lift his hand to his chest and hisses in reponse to his own touch. There is still the taste of blood in his mouth from the insect that had been scrabbling for his throat, and his skin is covered with bug bites. ]

...I could not defend myself...

[ He whispers it, the shame more paniful to him than that wracking his body. ]

[firstwife]

[...he can't say much to that; he knows that feeling. But more importantly...he sighs quietly, nearly inaudibly, and shakes his head.]

We must find Yukimura-sama. To do so, you will need to be well.

[monkeyjump]

... what I can, I'll do.

[ Sasuke fights to sit up fully, trying to ignore his injuries. He has to find Yukimura-sama, and if he must be well to do it, he will force himself to be well.

Somehow. ]

[firstwife]

[Hrm.

Fine, fine. It is clear that sitting out here in the middle of nowhere will do them no good.]

I will support you. You will do no good without your injuries tended.

[monkeyjump]

[ You will do no good.

That only makes Sasuke struggle harder to get up on his own, whether or not that is a smart thing or not. It certainly is not, considering he is still losing blood and the chase in the woods nearly killed him.

Yet he cannot be useless. He cannot be a bad ninja. He cannot fail again. ]

[firstwife]

[....yes well.

He merely reaches out a hand to help Sasuke up. Because. Priorities.]

What information do you have on where we are?

[monkeyjump]

[ Sasuke makes it to his feet, but once there it is obviously not a steady position. ]

It is... a small island. From the treetops, no other land in sight... in a circle. City around the forest, a large building in the forest. Can't get there; guarding it the animals seem to be.

[ He rattles off as much as he can in a breathless tone. ]

[firstwife]

[He nods once, quietly, taking Sasuke's arm and quietly guiding it around his shoulders so he can support him (never mind that he is barely standing himself, he's merely doing his duty).]

I see. Come; we must tend to your wounds first.

[monkeyjump]

...careful--

[ Sasuke knows Rokuro is still weak, himself.

Yet maybe together they can stumble somewhere safer. ]

[firstwife]

[And stumble they do, until they find a place that functions as some sort of shelter.

...it's getting rather difficult to stand for Rokuro as well, though very little of that reads in his face.

The only evidence of it is that his breathing is more ragged, and he pauses when they finally reach shelter.]

[monkeyjump]

[ Sasuke knows all too well this is a strain on the other man. As soon as there is something he can lean against, he does so, muttering: ]

Sit and rest, Rokuro-san.

[firstwife]

[He wishes to protest--but he can't, because it really is all too much a strain.

So instead he does slowly lean as well, sliding to the ground after a moment, hand reaching up to gently clasp his bandaged eye.]

[monkeyjump]

Is there...anything I can bring to you...?

[ No, he is in no condition to go anywhere. But he will, if asked. ]

[firstwife]

[...]

You can recover your strength. I need nothing else currently.

[Just wakaaaaaa]

[monkeyjump]

...

[ Sasuke will just slump here, then. Sounds good to him. ]

[firstwife]

[Sounds good to him too. Despite his desire to get up and keep searching, now he has to keep an eye on Sasuke as well.

And he's wiped. So they're both slumped.

Welp.]

[monkeyjump]

[ Sasuke, too, is thinking about Yukimura.

Not about the fact nothing was done about that whole bleeding issue.

So do not mind him if he goes rather pale and starts to wonder why he is so dizzy. ]

[firstwife]

[And then there is a waifu crouched in front of you, Sasuke. He is already reaching for his shirt and his wounds.

Sit still while he fixes you.]

[monkeyjump]

Rokuro-san?

[ Sasuke starts to pull away automatically, confused. ]

[firstwife]

Don't move.

If these are not tended to, they will get infected or you will bleed out.

[:V That will not help Yukimura-sama.]

[monkeyjump]

[ Oh. That...

makes sense.

Sasuke stills, though his eyes stay on the other man. ]

[firstwife]

[YEAH YOU'D BETTER SIT THERE. Rokuro's just going to find some makeshift cloths, but he has no water (what is plumbing).

Regardless, he still has water--

...

...or so he should, as the brave of water, but he pauses when he finds that he...actually cannot summon any water at all.]
