[Thankfully, this public service announcement isn't as fraught and panicky as the last one. There's no preface needed, just a moment for Waver to remember to put a filter on the message so that Ryuunoske cannot access it, and he addresses the screen.]

I'm issuing this as a bit of information for those new and reminder for those old that I am still attempting to collect and create a history of this place. There's been significant work done, so if anyone is interested in accessing it - or in reviewing mine and my assistant's notes for accuracy - it is open.

In addition, and more pertinently, I would like to add another facet to this archive: recording everyone's personal histories. Given the plans in mind for all of us, I figure that having written biographies to combat memory loss is a boon, and I can ensure limited access to those files. This can be achieved by either you speaking to me of past experiences and me writing them down, or walking over a draft to my current residence.

Finally, and this I realize is a loaded subject: in relation to creating a history of this place. We were recently shown the deaths of the previous inhabitants. I should like to know how yours died, in as much detail as possible, if you feel comfortable giving the information.

I suppose I wasn't the most attentive watcher back then, considering the situation. But if it's any helpful then that's good.

Well, in theory it's help. If I get death records and I can't make a coherent narrative of what they mean, then I've just wasted a lot of time and potentially prompted people into nasty memories.

It's a good try and I hope it's useful in the end. At the very least it's better than doing nothing at all.

I think everyone has refused to do nothing though, which is reassuring.

It is. The Rulers make it horrible hard to do research without getting punished, but in one way or another most of us seem to be gathering whatever they can, waiting for a good oppurtunity to try another plan.

Ah, have other people tried doing research? What became of them?

Well, there has been an attempt to break into the castle a long while ago. He didn't get too far and he was punished. I'm not sure if there was more to it, but at one point he was publicly displayed in a tower while wearing woman's clothing.

Which I suppose is pretty mild opposed to what the break out attempt resulted in.

Public humiliation isn't really much a deterrent, frankly. I assume this person is no longer around?

Mm, that I heard about through various records. Unfortunate, it seemed like a good enough plan in theory.

Actually he is one of the few people who are still around from back then. His name is Domon Kasshu, he runs the dojo.

Really? That's good to know, actually, I may need to speak with him on that matter.

I'm sure he remembers it much more vividly than I do. Though it probably won't please him to remember it, heh.
