[In Person] Nope, no illusionists here. Don't know what you're talking about.
[The Fluffy Duckling has a patron that ... wouldn't be familiar to anyone. Just an unknown, fairly pretty lady with long black hair partly tied back, in a rather nice red dress with necklace and earrings of ruby and gold, paying with a handful of small gemstones for... well, drinks for the night.]
[Yes, Spade got sick of hiding out at his riverside camp, but wandering around too visibly ran the risk of certain people realizing he hadn't stayed dead; what illusions he has aren't strong enough... so he's abused the Tarnhelm's shapeshifting and disguise abilities; he is mimicking someone, but it's a lady from somewhere a bit after World War II, too late for any of his generation to recognize her, and too early for any of Tsuna's group. The jewelry's real, for what it's worth.]
[Well, and since it is a shapeshift, technically the rest of the package of being a chick is real, not that this is that much of a novelty to someone used to body-hopping.]
[Said "unknown" lady is at the bar, and is drinking as if there's an attempt at getting away from things for a while, idly watching the other patrons come and go.]

She shuffled in, looking the patrons over before sitting down at the bar, a few seats away from the lady. She's scrubbing at her face, trying to get feeling back into it.]
no subject
[Spade dropped "her" voice low - enough to not be overheard by passerbys, but just enough for Alan to hear.]
You know, it'd be big on you, but I could get some spare clothes from my house and stitch them down a few sizes. [He wasn't GREAT at sewing, but he'd gotten the hang of mending clothes and fixing things for disguises well enough to be serviceable without looking out of place.]
no subject
Ah- erm-- that obvious, mistress...?
no subject
[There's less of a voice drop, although now, "she" has an accent that ...is faint, but also not Spade's normal one.]
Well, a lot of things would be better than that, and I'm sure I have a few things to spare that're better suited to the weather.
no subject
Well.
You'll have to excuse her while she picks up a couple pieces of her brain, because she isn't... exactly expecting someone else to be able to pull off a convincing cross-dress, or-- whatever the hell it was Spade was doing.]
Ah-- yes. I'm not exactly a tailor, but this is-- a bare scratch above wearing a glorified bed-sheet. At least it's warm.
no subject
[Also that dress is kind of low-cut and those damn well look real.]
I'm not much of a tailor myself, but I've had to take care of my things in a hurry a few times.
no subject
[Alanna is studiously staring at her hands.]
no subject
So here he was at the Fluffy Duckling, looking over the selection of drinks for something familiar that wouldn't leave him on the floor later with a headache to rival all headaches.]

[But right now, to be honest, half of hanging around the bar was various things of the past century catching up, including being reminded that it'd basically been a hundred years since there'd been much in the way of human company that WASN'T directly related to various ruses and manipulations.]
[So yes. There is a very pretty lady at the bar that has noticed and seems certainly amused over "her" drink, with empty areas near her, who is at least looking for company for a while...]
I'm sorry for the kind-of-late OTL
I don't believe I've seen you before, [he remarks truthfully]

So he'll just sit there at his table wrapped in his cloak, warily eying everything that's going on around him, almost as though he is studying things.]
/Apologies for the late ;_;
You look lost.
It's okay! ^^
I'm not. Just...taking it all in.

["She" gave her best disarming, sympathetic smile.] The island is a lot to get used to.
Have you been here long?
no subject
But this person who has approached does not appear to be much of a threat, and so he relaxes slightly.]
Not long at all, really. Only a few days.
no subject
[But it's not like the "girl" is giving any indication of that at the moment.]
Has anyone taken the time to explain things to you?
[And she's taking a chair at the other side of the table, not crowding, but at least making it a little less awkward than standing nearby.]
no subject
I'm aware of the situation...and have been repeatedly warned that taking some sort of fight to the Rulers would be unwise no matter how foolish things are.
[He looks rather disgusted at that, actually. Doesn't seem to be a fan of sitting around and waiting for something to happen.]
Have you been here long?
no subject
A couple weeks; I've been keeping mostly to myself - I'm not much good for what's been going on lately.
[So someone used to direct combat; that was another bit of useful information.]
We're all going to have to fight sooner or later, but people are, I think, jumpy after what you must've just missed; there was a fight with them and their Minions - it was very one-sided, from what I saw.
no subject
Nothing wrong with keeping to oneself.
[There will be fighting and there was a fight? He perks up considerably--it's clear he is very interested in this information. He's not just used to direct combat; he enjoys it.]
So they do come out and fight on occasion...what were they and their Minions like?
