Orrrr... I can be the only one here. Well isn't this nice. Boy Junpei, you're really winning the lottery on "Get put into weird situations" lately. First getting locked in the dorm, now this...

[He's not really noticing the change in clothes just yet. Or at least, not his most important article of clothing. He still has robes, and these neat wing shoes, but... you know.]

I found this thing on me too, but this is totally for girls. I don't have to like... do my make up or something.

[Reaching up to rub the back of his head, and he finally notices--]

[ Fuuka this morning, and now Junpei... Not that Minato objects to seeing his friends, but it is a little odd for them to come all at once. Who is next? And whose world will they be from?

But even having seen Fuuka earlier, opening the feed to say the first few words doesn't get any easier. Instead, he just looks at Junpei for a while before starting up communications on his own end. It's been a bit over two months since he last saw anyone from home besides his sister (and, of course, Fuuka this morning, but Minato's still processing that), and he honestly had not expected to see them again, despite having recognized the possibility they might show up here. And the timing coming so soon after everything at the castle, and that dream.... So -- it definitely takes him a moment or two to collect himself before he turns his end on.

He does smile a bit at Junpei's priorities. ]

We're all put into whatever costumes fit our assigned story character when we get here. Unfortunately, your hat is gone.

[ Minato has his trademark character item though! See his mp3 players and headphones dangling around his neck and weep in envy. Okay no, don't do that. You don't want to have gone through what it took to get it. Probably. ]

[Sorry, that's just going to get pure staring, as he's trying to piece together what exactly is going on. Sure, that girl mentioned Minato, but he didn't think he was actually here. He was dead. He went to the funeral, everything. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that he was here, though.

Though, hopefully this time, it wasn't based on his regrets.]

You're... [What's the best way to put this...] you, right? I'm not just seeing things? [And you're not a shadow?]

Hey, Junpei... Yeah, it's me. [ And Minato lifts a hand in something of a wave, still smiling a little. ]

So, uh... is this place... y'know...

[Is he dead? Please say no.]

... [ There's a pause as Minato lifts an eyebrow and attempts to decipher what Junpei is getting at. ] the -- afterlife? No.

The rulers of this place pull us here from many different worlds, times and states of being.

Oh. Phew, well, that's a load off my mind.

So uh... different states of being? So you're not... well, obviously you're not stone or anything. This place do that too?

[ Wait... what? ]

[ Minato has no idea what Junpei is talking about there. He's not too aware of what form the Great Seal takes at least that outsiders could perceive, after all. ]

Yeah dude, you were like... the Great Doorknocker or something.

[ Don't mind Minato as he blinks at Junpei. ]

[ Well, Fuuka did say they saw Minato become the seal. Minato is swiftly gathering that Junpei must be from around the same time as Fuuka and that maybe this is what the other teen is talking about? Maybe? He can't figure out what else it'd be about... ]

We'll have to start hanging out again! This place have an arcade?

[ Minato actually smiles at that. ]

I'm glad to see you, too, Junpei. And we will, though unfortunately there -- really isn't much to do here. No arcade.

Man, this is gonna be boring. Didn't even get to keep my PSP.

Yeah. Don't worry. The Rulers play weird games with us to keep things from getting too boring. [ Is there a faint note of bitterness there? Maybe. Is Junpei observant enough to detect it? Who knows... ]

... something like that. They have the power to play with your emotions and influence your behavior. They're trying to make us into people we are not. It's... frustrating.

[ Also Minato has a new found distaste for bears and fighting them with nothing but a stick. Also puffy sleeved fairy tale prince suits that changed colors and forced him to be really emotional. Not that he's going to actually talk about this, unless someone drags it out of him. ]

[ Minato is silent for a moment, almost hesitant. ]

... ten years ago, it... wasn't just my parents who were killed... My twin sister died, too. But she's here, now. However... she comes from a world where I died then instead.

[ This isn't something he normally talks about, and it's not something he goes and tells anyone who comes to the island. However, he feels it's important to tell Junpei and Fuuka this. ]

[ Well, guess she must have commented at Junpei, too!

But after another small pause, Minato nods. ] ... things happen very similarly for her.

But... she doesn't know how it ends yet. So please... don't tell her, if you can avoid it. She -- she was actually here before, when I first arrived, and I learned that it ends the same way for her then... but she disappeared home for a while before showing up here again, but from a different time. It's early October for her.

October... oh jeez. [Rough month.]

Yeah, sure dude. Whatever you say. I won't tell her anything. But man, having a girl leader, huh... ?
