Well, we just survived the last week of madness. I'm sure we can deal with whatever else they plan. It's always been this way here. Bad things happen , but we manage.

We definitely won't. There's no way we'd let that happen!

[ Usually Madoka is the realist and not the optimist in her group of friends, but she has learned how to think positively. Giving up would only ensure that they wouldn't be able to try hard enough to change anything, after all. ]

But that is a good question... We went to the past, to when the original denizens died, and they were there just the same... They seem like they would not die of age, but I wonder if they can get hurt by anyone...

Hmh, I'm still a bit confused about the cause, but apparently they and the Rulers had different opinions about things. The denizens fought for the people who can see this place. They wanted to bring them hope. I assume this means everyone who reads a fairytale?

The next thing I know is how they ended.. It was a big fight. The island was in chaos and the minions of the Rulers kept hunting them down. I only know more about Cinderella, for I am her and saw her end... It's not a nice memory.

But Arcanarum can't function without the roles being filled. That is why we're here.

Woah, this all is so complicated...

Madoka-chan, will we end up like denizens if we start some riots or anything like that...?

Who knows... I wouldn't put it past them. The last escape try's punishment was bad enough...

But if we openly staged a revolution, they might just end us once and for all. We are only replacements after all. Nothing about us is of lasting value to them.

They're guarding the castle pretty well and they do somewhat attempt to keep this island functioning, so I guess, yes... It's just nothing that helps us any.

Yeah... The wild animals usually keep people away and if anybody gets past them, the Rulers let their minions step in and then punish the approaching person.

This is illogical. What if somebody wanted to just talk to them, not attack them or anything?

I suppose they don't consider us worthy of speaking to them... or they think someone like us has nothing interesting to say anyway.

Hehe, right. How much of idiots must we be, being pushed into potential danger is the only thing we are good for.

It's not so bad though. I know it's wrong and strange, but at least you still look human. And it's not something that will get in your way.

[As the Werewolf those are both things he's had to deal with for quite a while. And the next time she comes to class she'll notice he has his tail again. Which does, in fact, get in his way quite often during the lessons. He knows there's nothing he can tell her that will make it better, but maybe he can at least comfort her a bit by making her look on the bright side.]

But Arcanarum is the last place I should be thinking about such things at.

She really does miss her older brother, and she's sure Sansa does too, even if she wouldn't admit it in front of Mother, ever.

Then, she's got an idea. She scowls more, this time exaggerated, and puts a finger atop her top lip to simulate a stubbly mustache.]

No, now I look like Jon.

[oh no, sansa is laughing too hard to say anything at all!]

[she darts a glance back and forth, then piles her newly blonde hair on top of her head in the imitation of a fancy southern knot. she squints and purses her lips, pulling up the corners of her mouth in a very lannister sort of smirk, and tilts her head to one side. this only lasts for a moment or two before she drops the pose entirely, laughing nervously and glancing around as if to check for spies.]
