[So guess who's tired of pondering around, knitting and not really making any progress by now? Yes, this very nation here. But he remembered something...]

So... Nuclear weapons. What can you tell me about them? Just how powerful are they?

[ There's a hint of sadness in his expression as well. So many people died when the bombs were dropped. ]

If she was also brought from a time after the second World War, she would know what happened. Has she told you?

[ A small sigh here. ] Yes. He dropped two atomic bombs on my homeland, one on Hiroshima, the other on Nagasaki. The explosions themselves, they... [ 'Killed' is really not a good enough word to describe what happened to his people. ] They erased everyone who were in the cities at the time. Those who were not killed by the subsequent fires and falling debris succumbed to radiation poisoning in the following weeks.

[ His eyes are fixed on his lap, where his hands are currently locked tightly together. Those nuclear weapons had left him sick for a number of years (thankfully not as long as it could have been if the bombs had exploded at ground level). ]

I had to surrender after that, [ he continues steadily. ] I'm sorry, Germany.

[ Japan could have said more, but isn't he already potentially altering history? If Germany fights hard enough to win, how would the world change to reflect that? With such worries in mind, he keeps his response simple. ]

Please do not do anything too drastic. You know America can be, ah...enthusiastic, and I wouldn't want the same happening to you.

[ He's watching Germany closely now, trying to gauge the other nation's mood. Germany can be as stubborn as America is eager, so he does worry a bit about how this news will affect him. ]
