[Yuuta is the kind of person to follow the rules to the spirit and the letter of the word—so when he images some things up, he is careful not to make anything too familiar. No special brands, nothing he can imagine inside of a box or container.

So in a cleaned corner of his home, the smell of burning wood hovering in the air despite all of the cleaning he has done and all of the other fires he has put out, he is kneeling in front of a small altar: on it is a carefully cut branch from a pine tree he dared to go into the forest for, a plate of a few mochi balls that he made himself (he couldn’t very well conjure up something he could picture so clearly, so the things to make them seemed to be a good loophole), a bowl of some sort of soup, and some tangerines.

Someone is going back to tradition today.

But with a small match, he lights up some incense, and starts to pray.]

Rulers, if you can hear me, please contact me when you are able. I want to know why you are so temperamental with us when you originally brought us here.

It's more of an annoyance than anything else.

Whatever. If they don't want to get off the island along with the rest of us, then they can just stay behind here by themselves.

Then what was the point? They should at least realise that you were actually trying to do something that'd be useful for all of us, right?

Some people lack maturity in any sense.

Can't someone just tell those people to go take a hike in the forest? [ And be eaten by the animals, hopefully. ]

That would be a good idea. But that would cause more trouble than they are worth.

Not really. I've heard people are often revived here too, so maybe they'll come back and have learned a lesson by then.

Ah, I see. I wonder if anyone knows of such a thing happening.

I cannot imagine that the Rulers would take something like this lightly.

I honestly think they don't care what we do to each other unless it impacts them negatively. [ They never really interfere, after all.. ]

It's since they don't care about us beyond the way in which we're useful for their plans.

Has anyone tried to change denizens? Or pretend to?

.. Not as far as I know. Why would you, either way? As a way to try and throw off the Rulers?

It was a thought, but if we show them that we are not to be trifled with as well, they will have to acknowledge this.

No, I think they usually just met any attempts of resistance from the people here with more punishment. Unless there's something that will really catch them off guard, it's not going to work.

Have you heard of our plans to somehow free The World?

Yes, we have been. Get in contact with Emma. I do not know when we will be doing it, but it's agreed that freeing her will be our best bet.

Yeah, I'll have to talk to her for sure in that case to ensure it isn't some dumb idea. I'm not all for getting us all punished just because someone's plan wasn't good enough.

Of course. I wouldn't agree to this plan unless we looked at every angle.
